Padel Accessories: How to Choose Them
Padel Racket
A padel racket is, in some way, a stubby version of a tennis racket. On the outside, it is made in a light, but resistant material, while on the inside, it is made with stretchy material, to enhance the ball bounce.
Regarding the outside material, as mentioned before, it’s essential to choose a racket that is resistant, to guarantee durability, as well as light, to support your moves. We suggest something like carbon, glass fibre (a little bit heavier, but also cheaper), or graphene.
Regarding the inside of the padel racket, we suggest EVA, which guarantees a good shock absorption, or foam (Styrofoam), less durable, with less control and output, but with a great shock absorption, making it ideal to avoid articular injuries.
Last but not least, a padel racket should have a security string to be placed around the wrist in order to avoid injuries.

Padel Ball
Let’s put it this way: if you don’t have a specific padel ball, you may also play padel with a tennis ball. But you should know that it’s not the same thing.
Padel balls (that by regulation should be white or yellow) have a lower internal pressure than tennis balls, making the game “softer”.
Between your padel accessories, therefore, you should have a proper padel balls supply, to properly enjoy the game in its uniqueness.
Padel Sportswear
When we are talking about padel sportswear, our main suggestion is to favour your own comfort. Padel sportswear, in any case, is more or less the same as a tennis outfit. So: shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, knee socks…
Amongst the other accessories, you may choose leg warmers, wristbands, headband, and so on, depending on your habits and needs.
We may also advise players from the same team to wear the same colours.
Anyway, many sports shops now have a specific section dedicated to padel sportswear, where you may find everything you need.
